Old-fashioned beat down

The Colts had their fancy new retractable roof and 7 billion megapixel jumbotron going for them but not their A game; the Bears took 'em apart on both ends of the ball. Prince Peyton made all kinds of faces: angry, petulant, frustrated, but not so many throws.

I'm trying not to get carried away but it's safe to say the Bears' performance makes a playoff run more realistic. Esp if the Lions' run defense is really that bad.

2008 for the City of Chicago:

MLB -- Cubs win NL Central
-- White Sox win AL Central
-- meet each other in World Series (White Sox win)

NFL -- Bears win NFC North
-- go on to win Super Bowl (okay, this will technically be 2009)

Election -- Obama wins WH

Shaping up to be a pretty awesome final 4 mths of 2008 for Chicago...

I have always thought that the Bears would be great with a steady QB who just didn't throw an INT every 12th down. I think Orton is your man.

I couldn't get over how old-Eli-esque Peyton looked! Bad judgement and all! And the Bears were just all over him! Very excited for you, Will

any bets on who has a better year -- orton or matt cassel?

that's a tough bet to handicap...i think we'd have to start w/ which one stays a starter and then we'd have to go on W-L record as starter....in which case I'll go w/ KO. Not on talent but on the fact that he stopped doing beer bongs and started reading the play book.

I loved Forte's tough running and quick cuts. Such a nice thing to see after the boring runners of the recent past (T. Jones, C. Benson).

Very niiiiiiceee! (in Borat intonation)
